Todd Francis: Legendary Skate Artist
If you've been skating for awhile you probably have ridden a Todd Francis graphic at one point or another. He's worked in the industry for over 15 years designing graphics for notable companies such as Real, Anti-Hero, Stereo, New Deal and Element. Back in September he had a solo show at 3131 gallery in San Francisco featuring original line-art from 1993-2008. Tweaker Zine has nice slideshow of some of the artwork. And here is a link to a youtube video of the show.
Stereo Skateboards has a "hot seat" interview with the legendary skateboard artist. Here is a clip about a series of decks he did for Element. And here's a signature series commerical for Fuel TV he did. If you are interested in practical graphic design or skate history I encourage you to check these out and learn a little about the man/stories behind the ink.

Nike SB Team at Tampa Am
Nike posted up a nice little clip on their website from the recent Tampa Am contest. All the Nike Am's have been killing it lately and I wouldn't be suprised if a few of these guys were skating in the Tampa Pro next year. - 12.17.2008
Red Bull Battleship Coverage
This past Saturday (December 13) Red Bull hosted a unique skate contest in Wilmington aboard the USS North Carolina battleship. Eight shops from around the southeast were invited to battle it out. Big ups to Raleigh's Endless Grind for coming in 3rd.
